Led Zeppelin are set to re-release their legendary live DVD recorded at New York’s Madison Square Garden, ‘The Song Remains The Same’, this autumn.
The two disc special edition DVD and CD will hit the shelves on November 19, with a Blue-Ray and High Definition version following on November 29.
Remixed and re-mastered 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound the package sees all 14 songs from the concert aired for the first time, plus comes complete with 40 minutes of extras.
Guitarist Jimmy Page said of the new package: “We have re-visited The Song Remains The Same and can now offer the complete set as played at Madison Square Garden. This differs substantially from the original soundtrack released in 1976, and highlights the technical prowess of Kevin Shirley, who worked with us on How The West Was Won.
“When it comes to The Song Remains The Same, the expansion of the DVD and soundtrack are as good as it gets on the Led Zeppelin wish list."
Meanwhile, Led Zep fans will hear today whether they've been lucky enough to get tickets to see the band at the 02 Arena. Good luck!
