Madonna and Beastie Boys are among a host of acts who will enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.
John Mellencamp and Leonard Cohen will also join the iconic list of names at the induction ceremony at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel next March.
Rules stipulate that artists who are eligible for next year’s Hall of Fame must have released a single by 1982.
Next year’s ceremony will also welcome Afrika Bambaataa, Chic, Dave Clark Five, Donna Summer and The Ventures into the Hall of Fame.
