Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has ruled out hopes of a full Led Zeppelin reunion tour.

It had been hoped that the band would extended their one-off show at London’s O2 Arena on November 26th to allow more people to see the veteran rockers make their comeback.

Plant has now definitely ruled out the prospect of more dates, however, saying: “We need to do one last great show, because we've done some shows and they've been crap."

The frontman also told the Daily Express that he’s planning to take it easy after the tribute show for Ahmet Ertegun.

"I know I'm getting on. When I do come back from touring I'm shocked to find a lot of my mates tend to be going to bed far too early and that means I should probably be doing the same. Maybe I should stop having a good time and get old," the singer confessed.

Almost twenty million people applied for tickets to the band’s show in London. Successful applicants will be notified by October 1st.

  • I’m glad i don’t have to bear witness to another Stones like tour. Yes Rock is a Testament handed down through generations-calling to arms the lost,a war cry which is answered in the heart of every Rocker to rise up from our shackled pain in search of something Sacred...sorry,got a little carried away there, but i see this Gig as a beacon if you will,a torch to be taken up by the next keeper of the Door.A new Rock band ,it has been written, shall on the third cycle of The Ocean-26/11/0

  • Robert’s just fooling himself...after Led Zeppelin prove to themselves that they can Rock It to the max still, they will do at least a short tour.

  • It’s all part of Jimmy Page’s World Domination plan! If possible, he’d play concerts to those 20million in the ballot worldwide on a scale that would put the Stones and others in the shade, just to prove they were and still are the best rock ’n roll band ever.

  • It’s disappointing Robert to hear that you feel that way friend.( ’ _ ’ )I’m 38 and I don’t feel old. ( ’_’) But I can understand a bit that sometimes the body do get a bit old and tired. I just wish you guys would come to the STates , as I was too young when you all broke up. Was 10 in ’79 when you all did your last album. That’s just the time I started liking your band. But then ’80 came and I seen it on the news!! :( Ahhhhh well. I
