50 Cent has finally beaten fellow rapper Kanye West to the top of the album charts – by taking the top spot in Europe.
Following defeats to West’s album, ‘Graduation,’ in both the UK and US, 50 Cent’s, ‘Curtis,’ finally topped the charts in Europe last Friday (September 21st).
West could only manage the number three position in the European Charts, after Manu Chao entered at number two with, ‘La Radiolina.’
The rapper’s European results bring to an end a lengthy promotion push between the two rappers, which saw 50 Cent threaten to quit the music industry should he lose the race to become number one.
Despite pulling out of promotional duties in the aftermath of the chart result in the UK, the rapper has since announced a UK tour for this winter.
