More Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix’s legendary performance at the Monterey Pop Festival is set to be given an official DVD release on October 29.
This is set to be the first Jimi Hendrix performance that has been captured on DVD in its original sequence as it will feature exclusive footage from the festival that has been re-mastered from the original 16mm camera reversal.
As a bonus, the Definitive Edition of the DVD will include a new documentary ‘America Landing’ which describes the legends rise from obscurity to his performance at the Monterrey Pop Festival.
‘The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live At Monterey: A Second Look’ will allow viewers the opportunity to change camera angles of the performance and ‘Music Love and Flowers’ will take a look behind the scenes and document the origins of the Monterey Pop Festival.
The DVD will also include rare footage of Hendrix performing ‘Stone Free’ and ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ in Chelmsford on February 25, 1967.
