The Beastie Boys are hoping to draft in a host of British artists to work with on a new project.
The rap trio are planning to record a vocal effort of their instrumental album ‘The Mix Up’ – a record that sorely needs jazzing up in our humble opinion.
Amongst those proposed by Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch are M.I.A, Lily Allen and Pulp legend Jarvis Cocker. He told Billboard: "We want to work with a bunch of British people. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the stuff."
Yauch admits that the group are still in the early stages of planning, continuing: “(We're) talking to some different artists who might do kinda like remixes and put vocals on it, so it wouldn't be us doing vocals on it. It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."
Also in the pipeline is a visual version of the record, collating material from their on-the-road antics.
