Pete Doherty To Move In With Shane McGowan

Pete Doherty is to move in with The Pogues’ Shane McGowan when he leaves rehab later this week, according to reports.

The Babyshambles frontman will move into McGowan’s flat – which is located above the Boogaloo Bar in North London.

Doherty is currently undergoing another stint of rehab in The Clouds Clinic in Wiltshire in a bid to beat his addition to drugs.

A ‘friend’ told the Daily Star: “Pete will crash in the flat above the Boogaloo pub in Archway when he comes back to London.

The Boogaloo Bar has been home to a number of Babyshambles gigs over the years and, according to Doherty’s ‘friend,’ this is one of his main reasons he wants to move there.

“It’s more of a musical institution than a boozer anyway," explained the friend. "Pete believes that’ll help him creatively to be constantly at a place that inspires him and where he’s performed.”

Doherty and McGowan – who was recently voted the Ugliest Person In Rock in our cult Top-20 poll – have been long term associates and collaborators.
