Kanye West made an unexpected appearance at the Emmy Awards in America last night (September 16th).
Despite the Emmy’s being a TV awards ceremony, West appeared during a comedy sketch with, Rainn Wilson – star of the American version of The Office.
The pair competed in a mock version of ‘Don't Forget the Lyrics,’ where West joked about his recent bad luck at awards ceremonies.
The competition was overseen by Wayne Brady who, in reference to West’s recent chart battle with 50 Cent said: “Whoever loses this competition will retire from show business.”
50 Cent had said that he would quite his solo-career should West beat him to the top of the album charts.
Both West and Wilson were asked to recite the lyrics to West’s new single, ‘Stronger’ – with West making a ‘mistake’ with his attempt by pronouncing, “you” instead of “ya.”
Brady then joked how the rapper had "picked the wrong time to speak properly," to which West replied: “I never win.”
As previously reported, West topped the album charts in the UK last night with, ‘Graduation.’ The rapper looks set to complete a double by topping the American Billboard top-100 later today.
