Britney Spears could lose custody of her two children later today (September 17th), according to reports.
It has emerged that, Gloria Allred, the lawyer of Spears’ ex husband, Kevin Federline, will bring the testament of a secret witness to the couples' custody trial.
The unnamed witness is described as a man who has had close observation of Spears and her behaviour around her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
According to Fox News, the testimony is likely to include evidence of Spears alleged drug abuse around her children.
The commissioner for the case, Scott Gordon, is understood to already have possession of the witnesses’ declaration but does not have to rule on it.
The witness will only be called to the stand if Spears’ legal team decides to cross examine the testaments.
The latest developments in the trial cast a further shadow over Spears’ attempted comeback. The singer is due to release her as-yet-untitled new album on November 13th.
