The White Stripes have cancelled all their forthcoming American tour dates.
In a statement the band announced that they have had to cancel the tour because Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel.
The duo offered their sincere apologises for cancelling the dates, adding: "We hate to let people down and are very sorry."
Fans can obtain a refund for their tickets from the point of purchase. There is no word on whether the cancelled dates will be rescheduled.
