The Enemy have revealed that they already enough songs to record the follow-up to their number one debut album, ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns.’
Speaking to Gigwise, the band’s frontman Tom Clarke said that – despite months on the road - lyrical inspiration hasn’t been a problem for the band.
“We’ve got more than enough new tracks already to make an album. We’re writing about the same stuff still, the same stuff still tugs at our heart strings you know.
“I don’t know how that can be something that you lose,” added Clarke, “unless you change and that’s one thing we’re not doing. It’d be quite easy to change but we’re keeping our feet on the ground so it’s all good.”
Clarke also spoke to Gigwise about the band’s success over the past six months, revealing that it’s quite hard to go out in their hometown of Coventry now.
“There’s a part me that really ****ing loves people coming up and going I really love your album, this is my favourite track, it’s like, ****ing hell, these are the people that have put you where you are, I’d never forget that, I’ve never not had time for it but sometimes when you wanna take your bird out, you know, you’ve got to go somewhere else.”
