Wyclef Jean: Lauryn Hill Needs Psychiatric Help

It’s safe to say that The Fugees will never reform, especially after the harsh words Wyclef Jean has said about former band mate Lauryn Hill.

Since the release of their best-selling album, The Score, 11 years ago, the pair, along with third member Pras, have not been in the studio as a band.

The reason for this has been cited as Lauryn’s erratic behaviour and demands.

Speaking to MTV News, Wyclef says: “Lauryn Hill, Mrs Hill, The Hill - Should go see a psychiatrist - period - Just seek help.”

He adds: “At this point I really think it will take an act of God to change her, because she is that far out there.”

As previously reported on Gigwise, Ms Hill has received a tepid response on her tour dates in both sides of the Atlantic, with many fans angry at her bumbling performances.

    • When did Wyclef become a doctor? He and Pras are only bitter because they wanted the money and success of the Fugees again and they know without having the best thing about the Fugees (Lauryn), they have no chance. I’m too dissapointed that there would be no more of the Fugees, but it’s great knowing that Lauryn is sorting herself out and has started to record again.

    • To call Lauryn ”the best thing about the Fugees” is gross overstatement. She needs Wyclef, just as much as Wyclef needs her. Pras is the creative foil who makes us realize just how outstanding Wyclef and Lauryn are. Wyclef on ”The Carnival” proved just what a creative genius he was; creative as in on a par with Lauryn. ”The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” showed how creatively vulnerable Lauryn can be when left to her own devices.
