Manic Street Preachers are set to record a Christmas single, the band have revealed.
The Welsh trio say they want to release the song to coincide with their huge winter tour and want to get into the festive spirit.
James Dean Bradfield told BBC 6music: "I think we've got a bit more of a love of life and sense of humour than people realise, so a Christmas tour for us is always really cool.
“The one thing we are thinking about doing is trying to write a Christmas song, because we regard that as a great, great tradition - Christmas singles are just really cool."
However, Bradfield said they’re still in the early stages of writing the song at the moment: "The way it reads is a bit funny at the moment, we've got to decide what we're going to do with it. We've always got lots of little plans and dreams and that's one of them at the moment, to do a Christmas single."
