Britney Spears will open this year’s MTV Video Music Awards in America it’s been confirmed.
Spears’ performance in Las Vegas this Sunday (September 9th) will mark the singer’s long awaited TV comeback after a number of years out of the music industry.
She is scheduled to perform, ‘Gimmie More,’ the first single to be taken off her as-yet-untitled new album – which is released on November 13th - at the awards ceremony.
This year's VMA's will also see Queens Of The Stone Age member’s Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen and System Of A Down's Serj Tankian make an exclusive appearance alongside the Foo Fighters.
