Prosecutors in the murder trial of Phil Spector have delivered their closing statement.
Alan Jackson told the the court: "You know in your heart of hearts he is responsible for her death. He killed her."
He also said that Spector had been holding a “smoking gun” when he emerged from his home on the night of the killing, referring to claims from testimony of Spector’s driver.
The driver, Adriano De Souza, said in her time on the stand that Spector said that he thought he had killed someone and had “blood on his hands”.
Spector’s lawyers will deliver their own closing statement today with the jury expected to start their deliberations on Friday.
