The Who’s Roger Daltrey has said that Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has a death wish.
Writing in today’s Sun, Daltrey said that the constant media stories of musicians like Doherty and Amy Winehouse are “very sad.”
Speaking about Doherty's troubles, The Who man said: “He has a particular talent but I’m not sure he’s comfortable with it. There’s a bathroom floor waiting somewhere for him.
“He seems to have a death wish and that is so incredibly dull – to think that that’s a cool and exciting thing.”
Daltrey made the comments in response to research published yesterday which revealed that rock stars are twice as likely to die young as anyone else.
Yesterday's study went on to suggest that the music industry should consequently be classed as a “high-risk” profession.

- Ermm
actually he does not have a deathwish. ****in hell even the Who believe bloody tabloids

- He will end up dead, its been repeated to many times in rock history. We all know how this story will end!

- everyone ends up dead.. some just do it in style :)

- Yeah but wouldn’t the reputation of The Who still be intact if Townshend and Daltrey had died early 70’s. Now it just looks like my dad swinging the mic on stage. Damn shame!
