The Strokes Fourth Album Hit By Another Delay

Fans of The Strokes will have to wait longer for the band’s forth album after it has emerged that the band’s guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr. is to record a second solo album later this year.

Hammond Jr. and his band have booked five weeks in the Electric Lady Studios in New York starting at the end of October to record the follow-up to last years', ‘Yours To Keep.'

Announcing the news on his Myspace page, here, Hammond Jr. also thanked fans who had supported him over the past nine months, admitting that he’d “had to time of my life.”

He also promised to keep fans up to date with the album’s progress via video recordings of their studio sessions.

The Strokes are yet to release any new material since 2006’s ‘First Impressions Of Earth.’
