By now surely anyone that would possibly care has gotten over the initial shmindie wet dream prospect of former British Sea Power and Electric Soft Parade members joining forces, and we can now appraise them on their own merits. But whilst debut album, ‘Give Blood’, was something to get a little excited about and may have lived up to the noughties ‘super-group’ tag, recent efforts have been too lightweight to notice (albeit carrying some weighty themes) and ‘Beatific Visions’ (more a celebration of 'la petit mort' this time around) falls into the same bright and breezy category.
