Sir Paul McCartney has been spotted on what the press are dubbing ‘a romantic date’, with actress Renée Zellweger.

The Beatles legend was spotted ‘wining and dining’ with the 38 year old Bridget Jones actress at a top class New York restaurant over the weekend.

According to the tabloids, after the meal the pair hugged as they left each other’s company at the American Hotel in New York State.

They apparently first met at a Tom Petty gig at the Hampton Social last week. Expect plenty of column inches dedicated to the alleged romance in the coming days.
