Steve Coogan To Sue Courtney Love Over Owen Wilson Comments

Funnyman Steve Coogan is threatening to sue Courtney Love after she accused him of being a bad influence on Hollywood actor Owen Wilson.

Wilson, of course, tried to commit suicide on Sunday with many citing his hard partying lifestyle for his mental downfall.

After accusing the British comedian earlier in the week, saying “I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy (Coogan)," Love has now stood by her decision.

She said outside her Hollywood home: “There’s nothing illegal or wrong with saying someone’s a bad influence. If someone wants to do drugs, they can. If someone wants to have sex, they can. But it starts to get to the place where it hurts people around them.”

A long-haired Steve Coogan was photographed in Los Angeles yesterday, looking pretty irate. His people said of his ex-lover’s comments: “These accusations are unfounded. We’re taking legal advice.”

However, Courtney as always has had the last word, saying: “Hopefully he will go back to Brighton – and stay there.”
