David Bowie is set to star as an evil alien abductor in a two-part Doctor Who special set to be broadcast next year.
The appearance follows the rock legend’s cameo on Extras in 2006 and his role in Hollywood movie The Prestige.
According to the Sun producers of the hit BBC show approached Bowie because of his “great other-worldly look”.
In the two episodes he will cross paths with the Doctor after kidnapping crime writer Agatha Christie – who went missing for 11 days in 1926.
