Amy Winehouse’s in-laws have urged fans not to buy the troubled singer’s music.
The parents of Winehouse’s husband, Black Fielder-Civil, also added that Winehouse should not receive any awards for any music nominations that she has been nominated for.
Giles and Georgett Fielder Civil said that a boycott would give the pair the wake up call they need to sort out their drug problems.
The parents told Victoria Derbyshire’s programme on BBC Radio 5 Live that the pair were more than recreational drug users.
"Georgette and I both believe that they are drug addicts, and they don't believe they are,” explained Mr Field-Civil. “I think they believe they are recreational users of drugs, and they are in control, but it seems to Georgette and I that this isn't the case."
Both Winehouse and her husband were photographed in the early hours of last Thursday morning (August 25th) with blood stains and cuts on their bodies – thought to be related to drug use.
Fielder-Civil’s parents also told Victoria Derbyshire that they were aware of at least one of Winehouse’s drug dealer’s and had ordered them to stop supplying.
“They gave me their word, but unfortunately we have learned in the past three weeks that not everybody's word is their bond, and we don't live in a totally honest world."
Despite a number of cancellations, Winehouse is still expected to perform her scheduled tour this coming Autumn.
