A Malawian social worker has finally been given the go ahead to review Madonna’s application for the adoption of an African baby.
Penstone Kilembe will now travel to the UK to check Madonna’s suitability as the adoptive parent for the African child, David Banda.
Kilembe’s scheduled visit has suffered a number of setbacks over recent weeks, including, the refusal by the Malawian minister of women and child development, Kate Kainja, to grant Kilembe access to Madonna’s child.
Under African adoption rules, Madonna’s adoption process will not be finalised until she can prove that her and her husband, film director Guy Ritchie, can prove that they can provide sufficient care for the child.
Kilembe’s visit will last for two weeks and being on September 4th, reports the BBC.
