Animal Collective have revealed that the recording process behind their new album, ‘Strawberry Jam,’ was “very intense and emotional.”
The LP – which is set for release on September 10th – was recorded in January this year in the Wavelab studios in Tucson, Arizona and will feature nine brand new tracks.
Animal Collective added in a statement that their eight studio album is made up of songs that are “totally pleasing and at other moments completely scary and confusing.”

Meanwhile, the band have also announced a number of UK tour dates which will follow the release of the album.
