Pete Doherty will appear in court later today charged with breaching his bail conditions.
As we reported yesterday, Doherty was arrested in the Tower Hamlets area of East London in the early hours of Monday morning on suspicion of drugs possession.
The Babyshambles frontman was held overnight ahead of today’s scheduled hearing at West London Magistrates court.
Doherty was travelling back to the capital after his bands performance at the Staffordshire leg of the V Festival on Sunday evening, where they had arrived four hours late because of a traffic accident.
Doherty was told two weeks ago by a District Judge that he would face jail if he did not successfully kick his drug habit.
It’s understood that the Doherty had even had a stomach implant inserted in a bid to combat his addiction.
