Kanye West Thanks 50 Cent For “Competition”

Kanye West admitted that it’s a good thing that he and 50 Cent are releasing their new albums on the same date.

Both West and 50 Cent are due to release their latest albums on September 11th in America - West with the final part to his college themed trilogy, ‘Graduation,’ and 50 Cent with ‘Curtis.’

West told the audience at a secret gig in London last night (August 20th) that the fact that they’re releasing their albums on the same date meant that they had both upped their games.

“Its a Good thing that 50 Cent and me are coming out on the same dates,” declared the rapper. “I think we both up’d our games because of it.”

He continued: “Hip-Hop is so sparse, people are just dropping albums aimlessly.”

West admitted that the album only felt like it was 70% complete until it emerged that the rappers would be sharing release dates.

The rapper showcased a number of new tracks off ‘Graduation’ at the secret show at London's Centrall Hall last night, including his current number one single, ‘Stronger.’

During a sermon to the crowd, West added that he felt like himself and 50 Cent were now “gladiators” because of their album competition.
