Blessed with a delicate and charming (with a slight hayseed twang) voice, ‘Only Getting Better’, taken from Dosen’s debut long player ‘A Lily for the Spectre’, is like a big gentle warm hug set to music.
The kind of single that’d be played over the closing credits of the afternoons televised knitting circle that is Loose Women, an inoffensive and vaguely comforting slow moving journey along the middle of the road, that cries out - or rather waits patiently with its hand raised not wanting to cause a fuss - for the Parkinson-crowds approval.
To sum up, it’s too bloody nice!
