Pete Doherty was arrested for suspected drugs possession hours after Babyshambles V Festival performance in Stafford on Sunday night, according to reports.
According to police sources, Doherty was arrested in the Tower Hamlets area of East London at 2am this morning (August 20th).
The Babyshambles front man is currently being held at an East London police station after being arrested in a car, reports Sky News.
A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed that “a 28-year-old man was arrested in east London on suspicion of possession of drugs. He is in custody at an east London police station."
Doherty was told earlier this month that if he did not fight to cure his drug addiction that he would face jail or a community order.
He is next due in court for sentencing on September 4th on charges unrelated to this latest arrest.
