After a fateful meeting in a dusty St. Ives record shop, these four boho- boys put their mops together and formed Haven.
Deciding to go to the city in search of money, they relocated to Manchester where they shared a bedroom between them, jammed, drank red wine and held a weekly residency at The Night and Day Café. Haven have supported Badly Drawn Boy and felt the traumas of emotional upheaval from Cornwall to a big bad city.
Haven went to the States and got a beating during their frst night in Atlanta for weeing outdoors. They pleaded innocence through simply following the other people. So rock ‘n’ roll.
Their label, Radiate, no longer exists. Nonetheless, the band are working on a new album with the provisional title ‘What Love Is’ , a title based on its centrepiece track ‘I Know What Love Is’.
