Ryan Adams Gives Up Cocaine And Heroin

Ryan Adams has admitted to a cocaine and heroine addiction but says he has now gone clean.

Adams says that he depended on the drugs to keep going day to day during in the time leading up to the recording of ‘Easy Tiger’.

He told Rolling Stone: "I'd wake up, work, go for a drink or two and be exhausted. I would have drugs to keep my physical being going in order to never have to stop working in the night."

He would snort a combination of the two narcotics but says he now facing up to the hard task of a life without drugs or drink.

He added: "Think about falling off a bicycle and smashing your nuts on that bar, or the most horrible sports accident you can think of."

"That doesn't cover what it would be like for me to imagine drinking or doing drugs again."
