New Order formed in 1980. Hailing from Manchester, the boys produced the cream of electro pop with their 12” best seller ‘Blue Monday’ getting slung out to the sweaty ravers of the infamous Haçienda. Considering that they part owned it, wouldn’t you do the same to advertise your music?
They have enjoyed success with their number one single, ‘World in Motion’ and proved to the world that a band does not have to limit itself to a single genre. They have done it all with London Records. From acid to punk, the unbearable cheese of ‘World in Motion’ to future-disco, New Order have fans lurking in strange dark corners of every club around.
