Starsailor have replaced Amy Winehouse as the support for The Rolling Stones in Germany.
The Chorley band will open proceedings for the dinosaur rockers in Hamburg on August 15 – a move that has delighted frontman James Walsh.
Speaking to BBC6music he beamed: “We heard on Sunday evening, our agent gave us a frantic call, and asked what we were doing this week, fortunately we had a week off!”
Meanwhile, despite the Rolling Stones cancellation, V Festival organisers say they still remain optimistic that Winehouse will perform at the event. This is despite media reports that she has flown out to America to go to Rehab.
