Primal Scream bass player Mani has revealed that the band will begin recording their new album shortly.
The band debuted some songs which are expected to feature on the new album – the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Riot City Blues’ – at a festival in Scandinavia last weekend.
Speaking ahead of the groups performance at this weekends V Festival (August 18th-19th), Mani said: “We've got a couple of new ones up our sleeve for V. We played them at the weekend in Scandinavia, but this'll be the UK debut.
“We're definitely going to play at least a couple of newies, and maybe even work a few more in to the set."
The singer added, however, that the new songs are yet to be titled.
"They're that fresh that I haven't got a ****ing clue,” the bass player revealed to NME. “To be honest we all stare at each other while we're playing them - we haven't learned them that well yet. It's a suck it and see situation!"
