Phil Spector has been producing new material despite his current murder trial in America, it’s been revealed.
The music producer – who is accused of murdering B movie actress Lana Clarkson at his Los Angeles mansion in 2003 – has been working with a solo artist called Hargo.
It’s reported that Spector was so impressed with the artist that he stopped scheduled work with The Vines to pursue the project.
A track that the duo have been working on, entitled, ‘Crying For John Lennon,’ is set to appear on an upcoming tribute to the Beatles star.
‘Strawberry Fields: Keeping The Spirits Of John Lennon Alive’ will also include an interview recorded earlier this year with Spector.
Meanwhile, Spector’s murder trial is drawing to a close in America after the jury visited the producers mansion last week to view the alleged crime scene.
