Amy Winehouse Reportedly ‘Close to Suicide’
Amy Winehouse is desperately close to suicide and battling with drug addiction, according to fresh reports.
As we reported earlier this week, Winehouse was rushed into hospital on Wednesday (August 8th) after she collapsed. Although the tabloids said her collapse was due to a drugs overdose, her record label refuted the allegations, saying that she’d been “advised to take complete rest.”
Today’s Sun, however, claims that Winehouse had been smoking Heroin on the night of her collapse and that the singer fears she is close to suicide.
Contrary to suggestions that Winehouse had checked herself into rehab, it’s understood that she’s now in the £3,000-a-night Four Seasons Hotel, in Hook, awaiting a visit from a psychiatrist.
A source told the Sun: “She has no idea how close she came to dying. She has barely eaten anything and keeps being sick. She is in an incredibly fragile state, both physically and mentally.”
Despite the developments, Winehouse is still scheduled to appear at next weekends V Festival (August 18th-19th).
