A bumper three CD, 51 track album is being released later this month to celebrate 50 years of The Cavern club in Liverpool - titled 'The Cavern - The Most Famous Club In The World' .
Last week Gigwise published a story about the album, falsely stating that not all of the artists who featured on the compilation have played at the club.
We would like to stipulate that this information was completely untrue and that every artist on the album has irrefutably played at the famous venue over the past five decades.
Gigwise would like to apologise to the venue, the bands and management companies for any damage this original story has caused.
