Damon Albarn Snubs Pet Shop Boys Remix

Damon Albarn reportedly refused to give the Pet Shop Boys to remix a Blur track for their upcoming compilation album ‘Disco 4.’

He’s apparently blocked the electro-pop duo’s attempts to do a dance makeover of ‘Girls and Boys’ for the album released on September 24 through Parlophone Records.

According to media reports, the snubbing stems from a fall out The Good, The Bad & The Queen frontman had with Neil Tennant a decade ago over another remix.

The first instalment of ‘Disco’ was released back in 1986, with the next two releases following in 1994 and 2003 respectively. The concept is that the Pet Shop Boys remix songs by other artists and DJs as well as their own tracks.

The track-listing for ‘Disco 4’ is as follows:

The Killers – ‘Read My Mind’
David Bowie with Pet Shop Boys – ‘Hallo Spaceboy’
    Pet Shop Boys – ‘Integral’
Yoko Ono – ‘Walking on Thin Ice’
    Madonna – ‘Sorry’
    Atomizer – ‘Hooked On Radiation’
    Rammstein – ‘Mein Teil’
Pet Shop Boys – ‘I’m With Stupid’

    • What’s funny here is: Who’s ever the frick heard of Damon Albarn compared to Who’s heard of the Pet Shop Boys. You go ahead and snub away - they’re doing quite friggin fine on their own, thank you very fudging much!
