KT Tunstall has said that her new album, ‘Drastic Fantastic,’ will have a more rock sound thanks to bands like Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party.
Talking about the follow-up to 2005’s, ‘Eye Of The Telescope’ - which is scheduled for release in September - Tunstall revealed that she recorded the record in the same studio as the Arctic Monkeys.
“Arctic Monkeys were recording in the same studio as me so they must have infected my guitar with their fast playing,” said the singer.
Tunstall added that the more rock influenced sound was also shaped by listening to indie bands whilst writing the album.
She told MTV: “The song that really stuck out on the radio when I was driving to the studio was The Prayer by Bloc Party. It’s a wicked song. The Killers were playing a lot on the radio too and I was enjoying their writing.”
