Jurors in the murder trial of Phil Spector visited the music producer’s home yesterday (August 9th) to see where the body of Lana Clarkson was discovered.
During an hour long visit – which was witnessed by Spector and his twenty-seven year old wife Rachelle Short – jurors went on a tour of the Los Angeles mansion and were shown pictures of the original crime scene.
Spector is accused of murdering the B movie actress at his home in 2003. His defence insist that Clarkson shot herself because of depression.
Despite a number of requests, the BBC reports that jurors were not allowed to view the room where Spector’s blood stained jacket was found.
Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler also denied the jurors request to watch a re-enactment of Clarkson’s death.
All testimonies in the court hearing are expected to be concluded by the end of next week.
