Portishead founder Geoff Barrow has launched a scathing attack on Mark Ronson, saying that the producer turns good songs into “shit funky supermarket muzak.”
Barrow was prompted to make the post on his Myspace page after hearing the news that Ronson is remixing a Bob Dylan track.
He said: "I think it takes amazing talent to turn decent songs into shit funky supermarket muzak.
"I also heard he's remixing Dylan... some music industry tit thinks it needs remixing. You would think he would have the respect to say no to the job, obviously not."
Barrow also revealed in his post that Portishead are set to go into the studio to mix their album later next week.
Ronson, of course, has worked with the likes of Lily Allen, Kasabian and Amy Winehouse.
