Amy Winehouse has accepted an offer by Simpson’s creator Matt Groening to appear in an episode of the famous TV show, according to reports.
The singer – who has just been nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards – has been enjoying a rise in fortunes in America recently courtesy of her second album, ‘Back To Black.’
Although details are vague, it’s understood the ‘simpsonised’ Amy Winehouse will meet Lisa Simpson in a blues bar in the show.
An ‘insider’ added: “Amy is huge in America right now. She was asked if she would consider making an appearance on the show and she agreed. Apparently she is a big fan.”
Should she appear, Winehouse will join the likes of Paul McCartney, The White Stripes and Smashing Pumpkins, who have all appeared in the hit show.
