US rap giants 50 Cent and Kanye West will go head-to-head in a TV Presidential-style debate when they release their new albums it’s been announced.
The two rappers have been involved in a growing publicity battle since it emerged that they would both be releasing their new albums on September 11th.
Kanye West was encouraged to launch the challenge last Friday during an appearance on US radio station, ‘BET's 106 & Park.’
Appearing on US Television shortly afterwards, 50 Cent confidently accepted the ‘challenge,’ according to yahoo music.
The rapper said: "I accept the challenge. Kanye, he's not going to want to show up. Just don't be asking me if I am a conscious rapper. I know exactly what I am saying - so I am conscious"
The debate – which will mirror the great American political TV debates – will see 50 Cent pushing his new album, ‘Curtis,’ while West urges people to buy, ‘Graduation.’
It’s understood that the battle will occur on the same day that the albums are released.
