Film Director Michael Bay has denied that he met with Lana Clarkson shortly before her death as he took to the stand at the murder trial of Phil Spector.
At an earlier hearing, a witness has claimed that Bay – who directed the recent box office smash 'Transformers' – had shunned Clarkson, which led to her feeling depressed.
Phil Spector’s defence lawyers have said that this caused the B movie actress to feel suicidal and, consequently, caused her to shoot herself in 2003.
Clarkson’s body was found at Spector’s Los Angeles mansion. He denies murdering her.
Bay said at the hearing yesterday that he could not remember ever offering the actress a film role – although he did cast her in a commercial in 1998.
Bay told the courtroom: "If I had disrespected her she probably would have slapped me. She was just that saucy."
The trial continues.
