MobileAct Unsigned have revealed that the winner of this years competition will win a record deal with a major label, as well as a host of other extras.

As part of the prize, the winner will be guaranteed a single and album release along with a video for the single. The record deal will also include a cash advance and cover the recording costs for the albums production.

MobileAct have been searching for Britain’s best new talent since July 7th – with hopefuls entering via the competitions website, here.

DJ Jo Wiley is among a host of judges who will narrow down the entrants, with the best going on  to appear on the Channel four TV show – fronted by Alex Zane.

Over twelve weeks, viewers and the acts themselves will be able to interact exclusively with the show via their mobile phone and the internet thanks to Sony Ericsson and Orange.

The deadline for entrants has been extended to August 12th, with public voting beginning the following day.
