Covers singer Tim Arnold has taken a swipe at his favourite artist Pete Doherty.
In the new promotional video to his single ‘For Lovers’ – a cover of the Pete Doherty and Wolfman track – the Babyshambles frontman makes a surprise appearance… as a puppet.
The doll, which Arnold serenades throughout, comes complete with peroxide blonde hair and a nice emaciated, drug ravaged look. Hardly a good way to pay your respects to an artist you’re pilfering songs from, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Directed by the brilliantly named Toby Tobias, the video sees the puppet seemingly fall in love with the video star Jud Charlton. It then ends up in what looks like a funeral casket at the end.
