Music legend Lee Hazlewood has died at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer.
The music producer, songwriter and singer is perhaps best known as being Nancy Sinatra’s svengali – dueting with the star and penning her famous hit ‘These Boots Were Made For Walking.’
Hazlewood has often been cited as a figure of inspiration for Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound label, while the likes of Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, Primal Scream & Kate Moss, Nick Cave and Courtney Love have all covered songs.
The star was diagnosed with renal cancer (a virulent strain which affects the kidneys) last year. After a long battle with the disease he passed away on Saturday (August 4).
His last album ‘Cake Or Death’ was released in December 2006.
