The Twang have drafted in cockney geezer Danny Dyer to appear in their promo video for ‘Two Lovers.’
The Human Traffic star features alongside Ray Winstone’s daughter Jaime, in what is a video about, strangely enough, two lovers. The Twang make a cameo appearance when the troubled lovers go to the pub.
Video director Justin Kerrigan told xfm: "I wanted the film to be a story of a modern Sid and Nancy couple but drawing heavily on 'Mean Streets' and 'Nil By Mouth'. I wanted a contrast between the gritty environment that the characters live in and the tenderness of their relationship.
“We bought in Danny Dyer to do what he does best, and that is be Danny Dyer", he continued. "This allowed him to totally act the boy which is where Danny shines.
“We always knew that the band were going to be in it - they are great performers on stage and we thought that the perfect role for them was to play Danny's mates on the pub. We had no argument from them when we said that they would have to have a few drinks as part of their role!”
‘Two Lovers’ is released through B-Unique records on August 27.
