Beach Boys member Brian Wilson has revealed that he will play an exclusive new composition for fans on his UK tour – which starts next month.
Wilson will play 'That Lucky Old Sun (a narrative)' in full on the tour, which starts with a six night residency at the Royal Festival Hall in London, on September 10th.
The song – which draws from the 1949 track, ‘That Lucky Old Swan’ – according to Wilson “will consist of five 'rounds' with interspersed spoken word."
The Beach Boy has worked with his old collaborator Van Dyke Parks on the new material – which also includes a song called, ‘Midnight’s Another Day.’
Wilson added that he couldn’t “think of a better place in the world to premiere it."
As well as the new material, Wilson is expected to cover a song from The Beatles, ‘Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' – which is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary.
