The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has begun work on his autobiography after securing a publishing deal.
Richards has signed a deal with Little, Brown and Company after the publishing house did battle with other publishers to secure the memoirs.
The guitarist will reportedly receive $7.3 million for the autobiography – which will be released in 2010.
A Publisher at Little, Brown and Company, Michael Pietsch said that extracts he’d read so far had been “delicious,” reports the BBC.
Richards is expected to encompasss his entire career in the autobiography – unveiling everything that the Stones have experienced whilst touring the world.
Mr Pietsch added: “For nearly 50 years he has been at the very centre of the vortex of stardom and of entertainment as a cultural force.
"To have the story of his own life in one book, there's no experience like that. And there will be stories he has never uttered before."
Richards is not the first Rolling Stone receive a book deal. In the 1980’s Mick Jagger was close to penning an autobiography before he said that “he couldn't remember enough to do a book.”
