The Eagles have almost finished work on their first new album in 28 years.
The Californian rockers have been in the studio for much of 2007 and are now in the latter stages of production.
Speaking to Billboard, guitarist Joe Walsh said that all band members (himself, Glenn Fray, Timothy B Schmidt and Don Henley) wrote songs and were involved in making the long-player.
Walsh says that the record will be unrestrained, saying “(It’s) full-on rock'n'roll. I didn't want us to be too ballad-y here. We need some stuff we can play live, so I made sure there was that element in the record."
The album – the band’s first complete new material since 1979’s ‘The Long Run’ – is expected to hit the shelves before the end of 2007.
